DNA Deep-dive: Can you Kick(ers) it? Yes you can!

Kickers, a global brand known around the world for an unequivocal love for music, fashion and - well - jeans. Since its inception amidst mid-'70s vigour, founding French fashion designer Daniel Raufast created the brand with one intention in mind - this had to be a brand that looked tasteful when worn with jeans. But, today we're turning our attention towards a TOWER staple - the Kickers Kick Hi. This is what makes the Kick Hi such a powerhouse, the subtle details that elevate a standard boot above and beyond something you can wear town, to the shops and wherever.

 

 

Finding residency on-foot in 1975, the Kick Hi soon became Kickers most popular silhouette - continuing such prowess until the modern day, sidestepped all trend pits before hitting another metaphorical peak oh so recently. Funnily enough, the Kick Hi activation coincided with the UK retail launch on King's Road, London. As popularity grew in the '80s, stores began experiencing queues from 10pm until opening time, only for pairs to sell-out in a matter of hours. But, the pivotal point that made Kick Hi's so popular was the stylish yet durable manner in which it side-stepped any club's 'no trainer' policy, laying claim to icon status during the famous acid-house era. So, there you have it. The chunky sole, brass eyelets and iconic tab logo have been in rotation for quite some time - this isn't the lace-residing fleurette first rodeo!
